Welcome to the HOT and TOT Feasibility Study Website!

In June 2004, the Georgia State Road & Tollway Authority (SRTA) kicked off the High Occupancy Toll (HOT) Lanes and Truck Only Toll (TOT) Facilities Feasibility Study, known as the “HOT and TOT Study”. The HOT and TOT Study is assessing the ability of the metro Atlanta area’s existing and planned HOV system to accommodate High-Occupancy Toll (HOT) Lanes, as well as the feasibility of Truck Only Toll (TOT) Lanes on the interstates in Atlanta. The study will examine concepts for revenue collection, enforcement, and access, and suggest possible business plans for a system. Alternatives will be identified and refined through a screening process in order to develop a feasible set of recommendations. Study recommendations will be presented to the Georgia General Assembly in December 2004.

This website is designed to provide you with information on the study and its findings, and to serve as a reference point for information related to HOT lanes and TOT facilities and the types of benefits they can provide to users of such facilities.
